Mantie-Strength-Academy-teen-strength-training

We started Mantie Strength Academy in the fall of 2024. As former collegiate athletes and strength coaches, we've always valued strength training.

Our twin boys (14) had previously trained at a facility that they enjoyed, but with our youngest (7) now involved in his own sports, we couldn't manage the 30-minute rush-hour drive to get our older boys to the class times offered. So, we started looking for other options.

Then, when we were quoted $500 per kid for a two-day-a-week program (a price we view as completely INSANE for middle school athletes, especially in a large group setting and with coaches with far less experience), we decided they would just train at home instead.

But, as every parent knows, kids are more motivated when their friends are involved. So, we reached out to a few families to see if they'd be interested. Before we knew it, word had spread and we had 16 athletes signed up for our first session!

As parents of three multi-sport athletes, we understand how busy and expensive youth sports can be. That's why we decided to offer actual small-group training at an affordable price - close to home!

What We Do:

At MSA, athletes benefit from hands-on coaching every step of the way. With a coach-to-athlete ratio you won’t find in bigger facilities, each athlete receives personalized attention to refine technique, improve form, and progress effectively. From dynamic warm-ups to strength training, we guide each group every step of the way, creating a focused, supportive environment where athletes can improve safely and effectively.

Beyond sports performance, our program teaches athletes how to strength train properly - a lifelong skill that benefits them far beyond their playing field.
