About the challenge:
I absolutely love exercise, specifically lifting weights. I’ve done it consistently since 1997. I focus on getting stronger every week in the gym and am much happier focusing on what my body can DO, opposed to how much it weighs.
But I still want to fit into my jeans.
One of my favorite strategies to making sure my jeans still fit come January is to WEAR THEM….I’ve learned over the years that I can be super consistent with my workouts over the holidays, but that doesn’t always translate into fitting comfortably into my old jeans….
I, like most of you, live in leggings, or jeans with so much stretch that they feel like leggings. I workout in them, throw them on with a pair of high boots for a night out, and really only take them off to put on looser sweats or pajama pants on. Doesn’t matter how many workouts I get in over the holidays, if I don’t consistently put on clothes that button or zipper – it’s really easy for me to forget about the extra glasses of wine, cookies, handfuls of m&ms etc…because I’m so damn comfy in my stretchy attire.
Listen, it’s the holidays. We’re all busy. We all have parties to attend. We’re all going to be a bit stressed. We’re all going to indulge. What I’m challenging you to do is to not allow every excuse in the book to dictate your choices over the next 6 weeks, or throw in the towel and “start over in January”.
Every holiday season I run an accountability challenge in my coaching group. We do the basics: workouts, nutrition strategies, check-ins etc., but this year we’re taking it up a notch! We started a few weeks ago and it’s going so well, I wanted to invite you to join us (totally FREE!) The more the merrier 🙂
What you get:
- A weekly email (every Sunday) with nutrition tips, recipes, and mindset strategies to keep your motivated and focused for the week ahead
- A challenge calendar that will give you just ONE thing everyday to conquer (emailed to you at the start of the challenge) as well as a checklist to keep track of all the other awesome things you’ll be doing to stay motivated
- 4 quick metabolic conditioning workouts that can be done at home or at the gym (emailed to you at the beginning of the challenge). These will be in both PDF format for you to print out as well as video demonstrations of the exercises
- Get Social! – What better way to make yourself accountable than to share what you are up to with your friends and fam! I want you to hashtag #buttonupchallenge and tag me @kerimantie (on Instagram) or @Keri Mantie Personal Training (on Facebook) when you’re wearing your fitted clothes, getting your workouts in, trying a new recipe, or just sharing your goals for your own accountability. All you need is an Instagram account (that is set to public so I can see your posts) and / or a Facebook account and an email address.
- Everyone who plays along (and i’ll be keeping track because you’re gonna tag me!) will be entered into a drawing to win weekly prizes that include:
- The 5 minute Journal (my current fave)
- Amazon gift card (because, Amazon Prime)
- Rodan and Fields eye cream (even though our jeans are gonna fit, we may be a bit sleep deprived from all the social events and our eyes will need some lovin’)
- One month membership to my online coaching group!
Don’t be shy with the posts. They can be as easy as an after workout selfie, eating a protein bar, a picture of the weights you used during your workout, you drinking wine…it all counts! Just hashtag #buttonupchallenge and tag me. You never know you will inspire to #buttonup over the holidays 🙂
